Misikko Flat Iron Review & GIVEAWAY!

I don’t consider myself to be a particularly vain person, but, like every other woman out there I like to look nice. I wear a small amount of make-up everyday and most days I even take 15 min to smooth out my unruly hair.

I was recently given the opportunity to review a product from Misikko. The iron came beautifully packaged… almost too nice to disrupt! It came complete with a hot pad/carrying case, a bottle of Thermal Leave-In Protectant, hand sanitizer and nail files!

In order to give the iron a “true” test, I didn’t smooth my hair at all – just pulled it back into a ponytail after the shower and let it dry. I can’t believe I’m posting this, but here is my ‘before’ picture.

After reading the enclosed instructions – remember, I had never in my life used one of these contraptions, I got started. First off, the heat proof mat was a bonus and put my mind at ease when placing it on my bathroom countertop. The iron also heated up super fast. I hate the thought of turning an iron on and then walking away while it heats up – I have 3 sets of curious hands in my house! As suggested, I sectioned my hair, started at the roots and pulled the iron downward… let me tell you, it was SO EASY! My hair is pretty thick so I made sure to choose small sections at a time and it still only took me 10-15 min. which is totally comparable to my usual routine.

I will definitely be using this in the future. Its slim design will also be great for traveling!
